Dr. Roger Berkbuegler

     Dr. Roger Berkbuegler has been a Missouri educator for thirty-eight years and retired from being the principal at Rolla High School after 28 years. During this time he has served as the president of the South Central Principals Association and the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals as well as being the National Coordinator for the State of Missouri to the National Association of Secondary School Principals, and was also selected to serve a three-year term on the National Alliance of High Schools Board of Directors through NASSP.
     He has received numerous awards including Missouri Principal of the Year, Principals of Leadership, the Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award, and the Consummate Professional Award. He co-authored “Personal Learning Plans for Educators,�? was instrumental in developing a national policy for working students, and has been the guest speaker at state and national conventions on numerous occasions.
     Dr. Berkbuegler holds life certifications as a teacher, elementary principal, secondary principal, and superintendent. He holds degrees and/or certification from Southeast Missouri State University (BS), Central Missouri State University (MS, Ed. S.), Drury University (elementary certification) and the University of Missouri-Columbia (Ed. D.). Dr. Berkbuegler was an adjunct professor since 2002 but is now a half time faculty member.
