     In 1965, EvaLee Lasater began teaching in the public schools of Missouri in Mountain View, West Plains and Salem. She attained her Doctorate degree in 1983 with a dissertation on "Identify and Alleviate Stress of Guidance Counselors in AAA Schools in Rural Missouri". Dr. Lasater started working for UMC and Missouri S&T in 1984 supervising student teachers, and teaching psychology and education classes. In 1994, Dr. Lasater assumed the role of Coordinator in the UMC-Missouri S&T Cooperative Education Program. She wrote the framework for the Missouri S&T Teacher Education Program in 1998, which was approved by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
     Dr. Lasater's research has focused on learning and teaching students and teachers, and the impact of environment on learning. She is active in the professional organizations of Missouri Association of College Teacher Educators, Missouri Unit of Association Teacher Educators, Phi Delta Kappa - Big Springs of the Ozarks, and Missouri State Teacher Association. Dr. Lasater also has life certificates in Secondary Social Studies and Elementary Education.
